Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, process immigration procedures (visa on arrival is available or obtain in advance via www.evisa.gov.kh), then collect your luggage and walk straight to the Exit Gate where our driver is waiting. You will then transfer directly, around 45 minutes, to the hotel in the city center for check-in (check-in time is 2 pm). The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight in Phnom Penh.08:30 am, our guide and Tuk Tuk driver will meet and bring you to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (formerly S21 prison). This prison was a secondary school and used as a prison by Pol Pot's security forces, becoming the largest detention and torture center under the Khmer Rouge regime. Following that, we will visit one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks, The Royal Palace, a complex of buildings serving as the royal residence of the King of Cambodia. Next is The National Museum, one of the world's greatest collections of Khmer cultural material, including sculpture, ceramics, pottery, bronzes, and ethnographic objects from the prehistoric, pre-Angkorian, Angkorian, and post-Angkorian periods, as well as more recent works, such as a beautiful wooden royal barge. At noon, visit Phsar Thmey (Central Market), a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood, and countless other products. Followed by Wat Phnom, the 'Mountain Pagoda,' a Buddhist temple that symbolizes the name of Phnom Penh, located on the hill. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four statues of Buddha deposited here by the waters of the Mekong River and discovered by Lady Penh. Wat Phnom is the most popular place for local people to come for a healthy spot or to pray for their good luck, as well as to admire the sundown. Back to the hotel for a restful night.
Overnight in Phnom Penh.In the morning or noon, our driver will drop you off at the bus station for you to catch a public bus to Siem Reap (314 km - 6 hours drive). On arrival, meet our driver, then you’ll transfer to check in at the hotel and have a restful night. Overnight in Siem Reap08:30 am, enjoy a full-day tour with our guide and driver at Angkor World Heritage Site, covering the most impressive and stunning temples in the country, the Heart & Soul of Cambodia! Begin the trip to avoid the crowd by visiting Ta Prohm - The Ancestor Brahma & Jungle Temple, famously known as the Tomb Raider temple. Most of this temple is covered by gigantic trees that have grown over the ancient structures for over 600 years. Ta Prohm has been left untouched by archaeologists except for the clearing of a path for visitors and structural strengthening to stave off further deterioration.
After Ta Prohm, head on over to Ta Keo, one of the biggest temples built during the Khmer Empire and it was built a couple of hundred years before Angkor Wat temple. Then visit the ruined Ta Nei temple that’s hidden in the jungle. Continue your trip to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom where you will be welcomed by the four smiling faces of the King Jayavarman VII in the form of Buddha accompanied by gods and demons. This is a truly amazing sight. Enter through the gates to discover the impressive Angkor Thom temple complex (the Great City of King Jayavarman VII between 1181 – 1220 AD). The area consists of the Elephant Terrace, Leper King, Preah Paleilay, Ancient Royal Palace, Phimean Akas, Baphoun, and Bayon.
At noon, you’ll visit to the World Heritage Site; the biggest Buddhist temple on the World. seeing the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat and stroll around this massive monument, exploring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. If time permitted, we go to view sunset from where possible before return to hotel. If need lunch (local only) – USD 10 for meal include transfer. Overnight in Siem ReapAt morning, head out of town through countryside to visit Kulen Mountain, the holy place and birth place of Khmer Empire. We start trekking to visit The River of A Thousand Lingams, see some images of gods and countless Shiva Lingas carved on the riverbed. The carvings are visible when the water is at its lowest level. It is believed that they have been carved into the river for nearly a thousand years and are meant to bless the water that goes through them. Then climbing up to the Buddhist pagoda and see the Huge Reclining Buddha carved at the height of a big rock. The Buddha statue is made of sandstone and is one of the biggest of its kind in Cambodia. Finally, we walk down and go to see the most beautiful waterfall, is a perfect spot to cool off your day, plunge into the cold refreshing water that flows through the falls or simply relaxing and taking some nice photo for bring home with beautiful backdrop. Finished and drive back to hotel for restful night. If need lunch (local only) – USD 10 with transfer.
